The holidays are fast approaching and with it comes another great opportunity to treat ourselves and our loved ones to new gadgets that could take our productivity and entertainment to the next level!
Especially with this pandemic, having a handy device such as a tablet can make working from home and online classes more convenient with its easy connectivity and high portability. But obviously, not all tablets are created equal, and so we need to find that device that could provide for our tech needs but still fit our budget.
Enter the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus, a new tablet equipped with impressive features such as immersive Dolby Atmos speakers; an eye-popping 11-inch display; keyboard, mouse, and pen support for your notes; and on top of all that, a decent price!
We got the chance to try this new tablet from the home of popular laptop and PC lines such as the Legion, Yoga, and ThinkPad. Here’s what we think of the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus.
Premium Feel, Striking Display, & Salient Sound
Out of the box, the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus impresses right away with its lightweight of about a pound, a 7.5mm thin body, and rear that reminded me of the brand’s premium laptops– a matte, aluminum surface, plus an added rubberized side that gives the user good grip and is smudge-free.
Meanwhile, the tablet’s 6.4”x10.2” size strikes a nice balance for mobility, immersive viewing, and multitasking. Its 11-inch notch-free display also offers crisp colors elevated by its brightness that can go up to 400nits, making the Tab P11 Plus great for use even when you’re working or consuming media outdoors such as on your way home or at an alfresco cafe.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus does not disappoint when it comes to sound either. Offering a Dolby Atmos setup, this device is equipped with four speaker grills– two on each side horizontally– which allow you to immerse further into the sound of your latest binge!
Power for Productivity & Performance
Of course, the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus isn’t just about the looks, it also empowers you to meet the demands of work or schooling in today’s world, and fills your free time with entertainment!
Under the hood, the Tab P11 Plus sports a MediaTek Helio G90T Octa-core processor; 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM; and expandable storage of up to 256GB (exFAT file up to 1TB), giving you plenty of space and power for your utility programs such as Google Docs, Sheets, and the like. Multitasking is also a breeze when working with this tablet, saving you from the time-consuming taps between tabs.
To make working with this tablet even more convenient, you can also use accessories such as the Lenovo Keyboard Pack for the Tab P11 Plus that snaps right into the bottom of the tablet via its built-in connector. The tablet also has mouse support via Bluetooth that needs no further setup. Once connected, the tablet turns into a mini laptop with the apps opening in window form and the app tabs available at the bottom of your screen.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus also supports and is bundled with the Lenovo Precision Pen 2, which makes note-taking faster and easier, while the artist in you can also use the tablet for your drawings and journaling!
Video calls have also become part of our daily lives, and Lenovo takes this into account by placing the tablet’s 8MP front camera on top when it is propped up horizontally. Whether it’s a meeting on Zoom or an online reunion with friends and family, you can easily look at the screen and camera to further connect with the people who matter.
The tablet also has a simple yet decent 13MP rear camera at the back corner, which protrudes a little but does not make the bare tablet clatter when it’s being used on a flat surface.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus can also support some casual gaming. It can run Call of Duty: Mobile smoothly even with high settings, and while you can feel the rubberized rear heat up a bit after some time, it does not feel too uncomfortable. Meanwhile, it struggles with the heavier game Genshin Impact, so ‘travelers’ out there would do better with their flagship phones and PCs.
So how about its battery? Packed with a 7,500mAh battery, Lenovo promises up to 12 hours of browsing and video playback with the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus. Testing the device, the battery was reduced by 7% after an hour of multitasking with the Google Docs app and the browser. As for your entertainment needs, an hour of streaming on Netflix with 50% brightness reduced it by 8%, and an hour of playing CODM reduced it by 15%.
With its bright punchy display, powerful audio output, and premium feel to the touch, the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus, while a midrange device, showcases how the brand applies its reputable knowledge of laptop and PC design to their tablets. And to go with its laptop-like feel, the tablet’s processing performance and neat compatibility for tech accessories also give it the power to keep up with the growing demands of professionals and students alike.
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus bundled with the Precision Pen 2 is now available for only P16,995 at the official Lenovo Flagship stores on Shopee, Lazada, and authorized sellers nationwide. For more information, follow Lenovo Philippines on Facebook.
