Netflix’s in-app mobile games will finally be available on Android starting tomorrow!
Last July, the streaming giant confirmed its plans to expand through video games, starting off with mobile games, and just about three months later, Netflix Games is finally arriving!
Starting tomorrow, November 4 at 1 AM, Netflix subscribers here in the Philippines can start playing five mobile games via the Netflix app: Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, and Teeter Up, with more games expected to become available soon.
“Whether you’re craving a casual game you can start from scratch or an immersive experience that lets you dig deeper into your favorite stories, we want to begin to build a library of games that offers something for everyone. We’re in the early days of creating a great gaming experience, and we’re excited to take you on this journey with us,” stated Mike Verdu, Vice President for Netflix’s Game Development, in a blog post.
The games will be added to your Netflix subscription with no additional fees, ads, or in-app purchases. Some of the games will even be available for playing without an internet connection. Every profile on the same account will also be able to access the games. And for child safety, the games will not be available on kids’ profiles.
Excited to play? Just look for the dedicated games row on your Netflix app tomorrow and start playing! Netflix Games will also be available on iOS later this year.
