A charity event held at Conrad Manila's Taft ballroom had candidates of 65th Miss Universe volunteer to pack food to be sent to underprivileged women.
The Miss U bets were seen wearing aprons and hairnets as they work on filling up boxes of food that will be donated to pregnant women in need, in efforts to reduce malnutrition in newborns. The ladies spent time with volunteers, working on measuring and packing items like champorado, guinataan, arroz caldo, and beef congee. They spent hours working with upbeat energy and smiles on their faces, and were able to complete 100 boxes that will benefit the Rise Against Hunger charity.
The event was spearheaded by Miss Universe Organization in partnership with Department of Health and Rise Against Hunger organization.
