Doma Essence was established back in December 2018 by couple Jay Avellana and Olga Goncharova. The brand was born out of their desire to have a piece of home and a place of sanctuary wherever in the world they go. This is why they named the shop “Doma” – a word which translates to “home” in many Slavic languages.
“Home is the gathering place, shelter, and sanctuary, the place where you can escape from the intrusiveness of the world,” Jay Avellana explains. “We put so much love into each of our products – from curation, research and development, production, and all the way to that special moment when you unbox a little piece of home wherever you bring them with you.”
Doma Essence products are all organic and made with nothing but well-curated and premium oils. They offer candles of different sizes, scents, and containers, so there’s always something for everyone, no matter what their preferences are.
When it comes to their most recommended item, Avellana suggested their Travel Tin Can Sets, which come in sets of threes. These are perfect for those who are always on-the-go but still want to bring their favorite scent with them. For those who love to put their candles on display, Doma also has different variations of candles in Glass Jars they can choose from. Also available are Wax Melts for those who want something that’s more fragrant than candles.
As for the scents, Doma Essence currently has 12 variants available on their catalogue. Two of their recommended scents are Winter Forest, which has vanilla and pine scents, and Zen, a new addition to the catalogue and has the scents of mint, green tea, and powder.
