Christmas of Dreams Awakened at City of Dreams Manila

Christmas 2019 is here at City of Dreams Manila!

Recently, City of Dreams Manila started the holiday festivities with a spectacular lighting ceremony of its towering 32-foot Christmas tree at the luxury resort’s main entrance. Enlightened with 10,000 LED lights and decorations firing up that child-like amazement, the tree is bound to be the resort’s breathtaking centerpiece this holiday season.

Termed as “Christmas of Dreams,” the event showcased a mesmerizing and heartwarming performance by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid with Philippine pop songs “Araw, Gabi” and “Ako’y Iyong Iyo”, and holiday tunes of “Joyful, Joyful” and “Christmas All Over the World”. The ceremonial tree lighting was officiated by Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez and his spouse Janet, Parañaque First District Congressman Eric Olivarez, Belle Corporation Chairman of the Executive Committee Willy Ocier, and City of Dreams Manila Chief Operating Officer Kevin Benning and spouse Angel.

The Christmas tree establishes the ambiance for the holiday decor around the property including the three luxury hotel brands Nuwa, Nobu and Hyatt Regency. The mastermind behind this is Danish designer Creation Group, then executed by Tema Design Philippines. Creation Group is one of the world’s leading companies in the field of animated figures and mechanical display solutions and is popular also for designing public establishments like amusement parks, malls, family entertainment spaces, hotels and restaurants.

To further their commitment to promote and advocate Sustainability, Kevin Benning mentions that the Christmas tree lights and the other decor will be utilized with solar power, upon the installation of a solar rooftop at the parking building, making it a big first among integrated resorts in the country.

For those families who are in the mood to become inclined to be one with the Christmas spirit, one festivity held at City of Dreams Manila they can go to is a grand holiday parade on all weekends of December 2019. This also includes December 24, 25 and January 1 every 5 p.m. This parade highlights popular DreamWorks characters joined by a magical range of animated Christmas ornaments. Another addition to this are the Electro Groovers, who are DreamPlay’s King Julien Dance Off Year 4 Grand Champion and recently took home gold at the World Supremacy Battle-Junior Division in Australia.
