This Valentine’s Day, be part of a lively audience as the tribute band Abbamania performs in Manila!
Re-Live The Abba Magic ‘Abbamania’ is coming to The Tent at Solaire this February 14, 8PM, to bring Abba fans the songs they know and love. At a press conference held this February 11, the Abbamania members composed of Adam Robertson, Ewa Scott, Sharon Fehlberg, and Steven Galert, told the media that they’ll be performing the Abba favorites, and these include the classics like ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Fernando’, ‘Chiquitita’, and ‘Dancing Queen’ to name a few.
“I think Abba’s music is one of the best music ever written. It doesn’t matter what age you are, if you’re a small child or an elderly, everyone loves it. Everyone dances and feels great when they listen to Abba music.” explains vocalist Sharon Fehlberg on why Abba music successfully lives on.
And we can’t agree more, knowing full well the love that the Filipino audiences have for Abba’s songs. Like when the minus one starts playing on the karaoke, it will surely become a sing-along!
Abba began in the early 1970’s Sweden and was composed of Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, whose first names make up the acronym ABBA. After a successful career in creating iconic pop songs, the band took a “temporary break” in 1982, and while the band has not yet made a comeback since, tributes like the musical Mamma Mia! and bands like Abbamania surfaced bringing the timeless Abba experience to today’s audiences. Just last year, Björn Ulvaeus teased that the new songs from Abba are finally coming this year.
This is why, now’s the perfect time to relive the Abba magic! Besides their Valentine’s Day show, Abbamania will also be performing at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on February 11; at the Aquino Center in Tarlac on February 13, and at the Lausgroup Event Centre in Pampanga on February 15.
