Following the drop of pre-release single “Stay Gold” a few weeks ago, BTS has finally released their new Japanese album Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~. The 13-track album, which dropped last night, is led by single “Your Eyes Tell”.
Listen to the song here:
“Your Eyes Tell” is produced and composed by the group’s maknae Jungkook. In an interview with Japan’s TBS CDTV, BTS revealed that the song was initially a part of Jungkook’s mixtape. However, since the song came out well, the group and their agency decided to make it a part of their Japanese album.
The song is also set to be the OST for an upcoming Japanese film of the same name. It’s set for release in Japan this October.
Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ is composed of 5 original songs: “Intro: Calling”, “Stay Gold”, “Lights”, “Your Eyes Tell”, and “Outro: The Journey”. It also carries the Japanese versions of songs from their previous Korean releases like “Boy with Luv”, “Dionysus”, and “ON”.
