I like it, but for me it didn't surpass the first movie. But as most sequels are terrible and not needed, this one really isn't so bad. The story and voice acting were truly great, but the songs were bad, they were too mature and not catchy at all. I can barely remember anything, unlike in the last movie where I was googling every song after the movie to study the lyrics. My favorite was probably the tribal chant, which was brought in from the first movie, that's how much I didn't the like the music in this one. The story is quite nice, and ties in nicely into the first movie, though a lot of the lore about their world and Elsa to me were still left unexplained. The story was not as seamless as before, but the visuals were pretty neat. There were some parts where it was too much fanservice for the kids, but then it gets confusing because they start singing like in a grownup musical that you just can't sing along to. The worst part was probably Kristoff's solo, as it seemed like a cheesy 80's music video, and really was unnecessary to the movie other than to give him at least one song because they didn't do that in the first one. It's really different for a Disney movie, I think. I think maybe because it was set 6 years after the events of the first movie, they were trying to make the characters grow and mature. But I think overall, they were caught between trying to make it a kids' movie and trying to make it a full blown grownup musical. Even the happy ending is a different kind of happy, like a little bittersweet, which is exactly how this movie feels overall.
