*Disclaimer: I am not a professional movie critic, I'm just a regular viewer/audience* Rated: PG 13 First of all: I need to shake off the Queen fever in order for me to write this review, because it's hard to make this movie unlovable nor unlikable. You'll just fell in love with it naturally in every bits and pieces. (Not that you've to know that and all, but I just want to be candid, unbiased and raw movie reviewer) In addition, I'm not that a big Queen fan, I've made a short "getting to know" them before watching this film but my interest of getting to know or listen to their songs kinda grew bigger after watching "Bohemian Rhapsody". What compelled me to watch this film in a cinema, is to see what would the audience reaction be like, specially to those who are really a big Queen fan. I tell you if you are in a cinema with almost as full seats as possible. You are in for a ride and will be dragged along with the current as well. (Based on my own experience of course, it may differ from anyone) Superb Cast: I love every casting member that they put in this film, not only Rami Malek did an astounding performance, but all of them deserved great praises. Whom I kidding, for you to represent/act such icons/legends in a film, that alone is a huge complement for each actors that are involved in this film, by watching the real band after the movie, my reaction was "Damn, they really made this movie meticulously in every intricate details as possible and with justice." Like outside performing and during the actual on stage performance, a very remarkable craftsmanship they've done indeed. Fun and Enjoyable: Every performance they did, is like watching the actual band's concert. From the energy and also my micro feet tapping, really hit a spot in my heart. Besides that, I got to enjoy the film because the couple that sits beside me were whispering some trivial stuff with one another and the woman who sits behind me, that kinda influenced a nostalgia and added a flavoring effect on me while watching that for me is priceless, and it didn't bothered me at all. Heartwarming: I felt this during the film, like at the back of my mind, what if he is still with us. What would his reactions be or would it make him energized performing even more, because honestly you'll feel saddened with his early lost and seeing his inner core in the film that lead to his early departure grew my respect tremendously to him. Like I think everyone will connect with him, that life isn't always at the highest peak sometimes we must deal an unexpected turbulence for us to extract the best version of ourselves. Again, it is what it is, his lost may be sudden but hey, it made a mark of inspiration to a lot of people who got influenced with their music, specially his incredible charisma. Personal Remark: Singing performance wise, I think there are some spots where you can see that it's lip synced and that's easily forgivable, because to be him is not a joke or rather no one beats the original legend. Story wise kinda sweet, simple and short. I wish they added some more of what led him changing his name and justifying at least the coming up of the name of the band even just a little. But I guess, that's part of their creative craftsmanship. With all that said, it will still not spoil the fun of this film with the said minuscule critic on my personal remark. Overall: I will give their majesty a fun rock n rollin' 4.6/5 stars. I hope you enjoy watching the film as well. ^_^
