*Disclaimer: I am not a professional movie critic, I'm just a regular viewer* Rated: PG First of all: This movie was made by Sony in association with Marvel, with that said this movie may or may not be connected with the current marvel-verse or at least Spider-Venom verse (Welp, at least in the present moment. We may never know, what will happen to Marvel and Sony's deal if it will progress) Hence, we may expect it or not that Venom will be included with the current phase plan of the Marvel cinematic universe. But whatever the case that may be, Venom is still one of the most bad-ass complicated anti-hero-villain-ish character or at least his origin story will be, which made him a unique character. You may or may not want to watch/read some of his story on a comic book/youtube, for you to have an idea of him being the main protagonist of the story or to appreciate the movie (Specially now that they've already release his stand alone comic book before this movie was made). With that said let's move on with my chosen categories. Great male lead: For them announcing that Tom Hardy will portray one of the most bad-ass character in the Marvel Universe. To be honest, I got excited to watch this movie even more. Like who isn't? He's a remarkable actor and he did an outstanding portrayal of Bane in the last Batman movie. Although some scenes of him may have to improve for him to be in sync with his character. But other than that, it's fun to watch him being a bad-ass Venom Brock. Great FIght Scenes: I may exaggerate a little on this one, but Man! The fight scenes are very senses stimulating and overwhelming. The phasing may be slow, but it's really rewarding at least, as the story progresses. The feeling is like you're watching in an opera house, it really gets tense/intensified on the latter part of the performance. Which made the movie whole. Without this fight scenes and the "other great aspect" of the movie, probably the film will get flopped (Just saying). Amazing Visual Effects: I will commend Sony for making the symbiotes coming into life, Specially when they made Venom coming into a reality. What's awesome with this is, Tom Hardy didn't even wear a "Mo-Cap" (Motion Caption) suit (The ones that Tom Holland wear for Spider-Man) for the entirity of shooting this film, but still they've done a remarkable job doing the animation. There may be some awkward animations here and there, but you'll never notice that as the film progress. If you're a fan of visual effects, you may or may not enjoy this movie on Dolby Atmos-3D-4D-IMAX. I think it's worth and you'll appreciate it even more. >Side Remark: One slight thing that got me off watching this film are, the story and phasing, the story is great but it's too simple. I mean, I get it, this is his 1st stand alone movie and they maybe still testing the waters or at least staying on the safe zone. But I guess, we'll never know that for now. We'll just have to wait and see, how it will progress or whatever future is instilled in this franchise.< Overall: I'll be giving this a fun 4.6/5 stars. I hope you enjoy watching Venom as well. ^_^ *Bonus Remark: You might want or not stay till the "end of the credits". :)*
