Michael de Mesa

Michael Edward De Mesa Eigenmann (born May 24, 1960) is a Filipino film and television actor. --- Born Michael Edward Gil Eigenmann to performer Eddie Mesa and actress Rosemarie Gil, Michael De Mesa and his siblings Mark Gil and Cherie Gil grew up steeped in the arts. He is uncle of Gabby Eigenmann, Sid Lucero (Tim Eigenmann) and their nieces Andi and Maxene Eigenmann. Beginning his acting career at age 15 in the 1975 film Araw-araw, gabi-gabi, De Mesa's career has spanned the last four decades and he remains active in film and television. --- De Mesa wed veteran actress Gina Alajar in 1978. Their marriage lasted 28 years before getting annulled in 2006, but bore three children, all of whom are in showbiz: Ryan, Geoff, and AJ Eigenmann. He is of Swiss German and Filipino descent. He was recently married to Julie Reyes Eigenmann in California, U.S.A.
