Clea Helen D'Etienne DuVall (born September 25, 1977) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Sofie on the television series Carnivàle as well as for films such as The Faculty (1998), Girl, Interrupted (1999), The Grudge (2004), and Heroes (season 1, 2006). She is also known for her role as Cora Lijek in the Oscar-winning film Argo. --- DuVall was born in Los Angeles, California, the only child of Rosemary (née Hatch) and Stephen DuVall. Her father is also an actor, mostly remembered as Connor from the Steven Seagal film The Keeper. Her parents divorced when she was 12. She sought entertainment in movies and television programs, memorizing entire scenes. She is not related to actors Robert Duvall or Shelley Duvall. Prior to making her debut in Little Witches, she worked in a coffee shop. She appeared in various films and episodes of TV shows such as ER and Buffy the Vampire Slayer before her breakthrough role as a protagonist goth student in Robert Rodriguez's The Faculty. She then portrayed an institutionalized pathological liar in the acclaimed Girl, Interrupted, as well as a lesbian enrolled in 'therapy camp' in the indie hit But I'm a Cheerleader. Major roles in The Astronaut's Wife, Ghosts of Mars and Thirteen Conversations About One Thing followed.
