Filmmaker
Robert Houston Eggers (born July 7, 1983) is an American filmmaker. After working for years as a production designer, he became known for writing and directing the historical horror films The Witch (2015), The Lighthouse (2019), and Nosferatu (2024), as well as co-writing and directing the historical action film The Northman (2022). Noted for his thorough efforts to ensure historical authenticity, his films often blend elements of horror, folklore, and mythology.
