Fast-paced at the start and dragging on the second half.. When I read the book, I couldn't even put it down. It was so addicting. But somehow, it didn't translate quite well in the movie. Most of it was bland and boring. In the book, it was Anastasia's narrative. The story was told on a first person characterization. However, this wasn't the case in the movie. It should have helped the viewers understand those silent moments better. Blocks from sex scenes were very distracting. Blurring would have been better. Overall, it was a huge letdown.

The blurs and blocks are annoying. Censorship in PH made the whole film exude a sense of blah. Despite that, it's classy and the 'scenes' are all done in good taste. If you have time and money to burn, i totally suggest watching it in Hong Kong or in Europe or the US where censorship is no biggie.

The book is way better. wrong cast. boring.
