The film follows a young boy's search for the mythical island of fireflies described in his mother's bedtime stories. Using the "clues" he believes his mother left behind in an old notebook, the boy makes the long journey to the magical island to wish her back to life.

If you only have to pick one #MMFF2023 film to spend your money on, this is that film. This is a well-made film. The film seems genuine to the story it wanted to tell. The shots are to die for. Napakaganda ng Pilipinas, ang sarap bumiyahe. I am really not sure regarding the choice of acting by Euwenn Mikaell. Baka nga ganoon naman talaga ang aktingan, very raw and natural. May isang part doon na parang kahit walang kalatoy-latoy iyong aktingan niya, nadala pa rin ako. Naramdaman ko iyong pain. Regarding the plot, should have spent some time discussing the backstories of Miguel Tanfelix and Ysabel Ortega. Kahit saglit lang sana, parang nabanggit lang kasi, tapos iyon na iyon. Pero, ok pa rin naman. Hahaha. And I think the Dingdong Dantes parts are unnecessary. Though, kuha naman na iyon iyong parang push kung paano maikukuwento ang istorya. Pero, kahit naman yata wala iyong parts na iyon, maayos pa rin ang pelikula. But, yes, this is #MMFF2023's best film.

Sobrang nakakatouch and kapupulutan ng aral kahit daughter kong 3 yrs old natouch hehe kiniss ako ng kiniss nung kay tonton and elay na eksena hehe
