WATCH: The Trailer for the Animated Film ‘Where is Anne Frank’

The film was shown out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival.

The animated film from Israeli director Ari Folman Where is Anne Frank has finally made its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival! And while waiting for updates as to whether or not we’ll be able to see this on our screens or in cinemas, Le Pacte releases the trailer to the film, giving us a glimpse of Anne Frank and her best friend, Kitty.

The animated film is inspired by The Diary of Anne Frank and is about a girl named Kitty. She’s the imaginary friend that Anne Frank writes to in her diary. She wakes up in Anne Frank’s house in Amsterdam in the near future, and she goes on a journey to find Anne, believing she’s still alive today. As she does so, she starts to learn more about Anne’s legacy.

Where is Anne Frank comes from director Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir, The Congress), who also penned the screenplay for it. It features the voices Emily Carey, Ruby Stokes, Tracy Ann Oberman, Ralph Prosser, and more.
