In celebration of BLACKPINK’s upcoming 5th anniversary this August, YG has announced the release of BLACKPINK THE MOVIE, which is the first part of the group’s big anniversary project. The movie is set to premiere in South Korean cinemas and in 100 countries worldwide this August, which will be timed with the group’s birthday this August 8.
The upcoming movie is said to include different segments which will help BLINKs get to know more of and get closer with the members of BLACKPINK. This includes one called “the room of memories” — where the members discuss their favorite memories during their 5 years together, another called “beauty” — which highlights every member’s personalities, and a number of never-before-seen special interviews with the girls.
The movie will also be featuring five stages from their concert tours THE SHOW and IN YOUR ARE, re-edited for the movie.
BLACKPINK THE MOVIE is just one of the many events YG Entertainment has in store for BLINKs this August. Last night, the agency announced the BLACKPINK 4+1 PROJECT, through a new website where they will be releasing more events, surprises, and treats for fans this August.
