WATCH: Henry Golding in the G.I. Joe Spin-Off Film ‘Snake Eyes’

This upcoming film tells the origin story of G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes.

Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding leads the cast of the superhero and G.I. Joe spin-off film Snake Eyes. Today, Paramount Films has unveiled the official trailer for it, just ahead of its premiere in US cinemas this July 23.

The new film tells the origin story of Snake Eyes — a loner who becomes part of the Japanese ancient clan called Arashikage after he saves the life of their heir. When he gets to Japan, the Arashikage teaches him the ways of ninja warrior, while giving him the home that he longed for. Things change for him when secrets about his past are revealed, and his allegiance is tested.

The film comes from director Robert Schwentke. It stars Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, Úrsula Corberó, Samara Weaving, Haruka Abe, Tahehiro Hira, and Iko Uwais.

Snake Eyes premieres this July 23.
