A musical film by Jason Paul Laxamana, Bakwit Boys is an official entry to Pista ng Pelikulang Pelikula 2018 and is about a band of four boys whose hometown is ravaged by a super typhoon. While their music is put on hold as an aftermath of the calamity, a girl comes around helping them record their song.
The film features a total of six original songs by Tarlac-based composer Jhaye Cura. These are “Ligtas Ka Na,” “Fiona,” “High On You,” “Patibong,” “Tayong Dalawa,” and “Kung ‘Di Ikaw.”
We had the chance to talk to Bakwit Boys stars Vance Larena and Devon Seron where they share and perform the song in the film where they can most relate to. Watch the video below:
