The notorious slasher franchise Wrong Turn is getting a reboot next year and its first trailer has just been revealed!
After having spawned six films– with the most recent film being released back in 2014– the Wrong Turn franchise returns for a reboot with the first film’s writer, Alan B. McElroy. Check out the trailer for the 2021 reboot of Wrong Turn below:
Back in November, Variety reported that the rights for the upcoming film was acquired by Saban Films. Bill Bromiley, President of Saban Films, promises that Wrong Turn will be “a much-anticipated reboot that will not disappoint.”
This new film will follow six friends from New York who go on a hiking trip along the Appalachian Trail. There, they encounter and fall prey to ‘The Foundation’, a community of people who had been living in the mountains for hundreds of years.
Directed by Mike P. Nelson, the film stars Charlotte Vega (The Lodgers), Matthew Modine (Stranger Things), Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night) and Bill Sage (American Psycho).
