Actor Channing Tatum reunites with his 21 Jump Street directorsĀ Phil LordĀ andĀ Chris MillerĀ for a new thriller film, EW reports.
The yet-to-be-titled film from Universal has been described as a “modern-day, tongue-in-cheek thriller”. It is set to reinvent one of the most beloved characters from the studio’s pool of classic movie monsters.
As you might recall, Universal attempted to make their own film universe starting with the 2017 film The Mummy. However, as they were planning for The Invisible Man, the “Dark Universe” idea was scrapped and they moved forward with standalone films.
Besides 21 Jump Street and its sequel, directors Lord and Miller are also known for directing other comedy films. These include The Lego Movie and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. They also produced Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and hemed the show The Last Man on Earth.
With such films in mind, we’d assume that their upcoming movie would have humor, thrills, and fun rolled into one! For more updates, follow Universal Pictures on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
