Neve Campbell has signed on to reprise her iconic role as Sidney Prescott from the preceding four films in the “Scream” franchise, it was announced recently by Spyglass Media Group, LLC (āSpyglassā) and Paramount Pictures.
Campbell joins previously announced legacy cast members David Arquette and Courteney Cox who will return as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, as well as new cast members Dylan Minnette (ā13 Reasons Whyā), Jack Quaid (āThe Boysā), Melissa Barrera (āIn The Heightsā), Jenna Ortega (āYouā), Mason Gooding (āLove Victorā), Kyle Gallner (āNightmare on Elm Streetā), Jasmin Savoy Brown (āThe Leftoversā), and Mikey Madison (āOnce Upon a Time in Hollywoodā).
Production will shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Spyglass and Paramount Pictures will release the film worldwide, including the Philippines in January 2022.

“Scream” is being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of the filmmaking group Radio Silence (āReady or Not,ā āV/H/Sā) from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt (āMurder Mystery,ā āZodiac,ā āThe Amazing Spider-Manā) and Guy Busick (āReady or Not,ā āCastle Rockā). Creator Kevin Williamson and the third member of the Radio Silence trio, Chad Villella, are executive producing with Project X Entertainmentās Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak serving as producers.
āScreamā is a long-running genre-busting horror franchise which generated four feature films including āScreamā (1996), āScream 2ā (1997), āScream 3ā (2000) and āScream 4ā (2011). Directed by famed āmaestro of horror,ā the late Wes Craven, the films went on to gross more than $600 million in worldwide box office receipts. Williamson wrote the original film as well as āScream 2ā and āScream 4.ā
