This year's Super Bowl just dropped us two new trailers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Aside from the second Avengers: Endgame trailer, Captain Marvel gets a fair share of the superhero hype as a new trailer was also released for Marvel's first female lead!
Watch the trailer here:
"Time to show these boys how we do it," says Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch). "Higher, further, faster, baby," Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) answers back.
These words resonate throughout the trailer, flipping scenes of Carol from her childhood to her time as an Air Force pilot to the superhero that she had become – Captain Marvel. The repetitive catchphrase in the trailer showcases the strength and power of both her roles as a human and her newfound mantle as one of the strongest superheroes in the Marvel comics.
The trailer also features action scenes with Mar-Vell (Jude Law) and the younger, more enthusiastic Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in his time before becoming the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Directed by Anna Boden with Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel is set for release on March 6, just in time before International Women's Day. The film also stars Gemma Chan, Lee Pace, Ben Mendelsohn, and Djimon Hounsou.
