The ninth chapter of the Fast & Furious franchise was slated to be released last May 2020 in the Philippines. However, because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s now getting a delayed release date: April 2, 2021.
In Fast & Furious 9 (F9), Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered. The driver also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (played by John Cena).
Fast & Furious 9 is directed by Justin Lin, who also directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6. It also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren. The film’s new US release date is April 2, 2021.
