Director Zack Snyder has dropped the first teaser for the Snyder Cut of the Justice League film in 2017.
Just last month, it has been revealed that #ReleaseTheSnyderCut is finally happening, after Snyder and DC fans have petitioned on it for years. Snyder’s vision will be brought to HBO Max, an upcoming streaming service slated to launch on May 27.
Now, we’re getting a first look at the film through a clip featuring Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, who discovers a cave carving of Darkseid, while Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor narrates ominously. Watch it below:
Director Zack Snyder also shared the clip on Twitter, who teased that more will come at the DC FanDome event.
The whole #ReleaseTheSnyderCut story started when the Justice League film was met with disappointment from viewers, who firmly believe that it was the switch of directors that watered down the film.
Zack Snyder was originally at the helm of the film before a family tragedy prompted him to step down, and the role was passed onto The Avengers director Joss Whedon.
Justice League starred Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, and Ezra Miller.
The Snyder Cut is scheduled for a 2021 release.
