‘Godzilla II: King of the Monsters’ Earns a Massive P83.6-M in PH Box Office

The film stomped the competition, earning P83.6-million in 5 days.

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla II: King of the Monsters roared at the box office this weekend, debuting on top of new titles.  This was announced today by Francis Soliven, General Manager of Warner Bros. Philippines.

The epic action adventure opened on regular and IMAX screens nationwide, with many shows sold out in advance.

Soliven stated, “Once again, Godzilla has earned the box office crown, proving he is truly the king.  We are excited by the response of audiences who lined up to enjoy a battle royale between the world’s greatest monsters.  We expect word of mouth and repeat attendance to carry the film well into the summer and congratulate the filmmakers and ensemble cast who created a thrilling moviegoing experience that delivers for a broad audience.”

Following the global success of Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse: Godzilla II: King of the Monsters, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in cinema history.
