Eleven years since the animated film came out in theaters, Disney fans are treated to the first ever teaser to the live-action remake of Mulan, which is set to come out in theaters in Spring of 2020.

A film based on the narrative poem "The Ballad of Mulan, Mulan tells the story of Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior who has to step in and take the place of her sick father when the Emperor of China decrees that one man from the family should serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern Invaders. Pretending to be Hua Jun, she is trained to harness her inner-strength and embrace her true potential, transforming her into an honored warrior that will earn her the respect of a grateful nation and of a proud father.
The film stars Yifei Liu as Mulan, Donnie yes as Commander Tung, Jason Scott Lee as Böri Khan, Yoson An as Cheng Honghui, Gong Li as Xianniang, and Jet Li as the Emperor. It is directed by Niki Caro, with a screenplay by Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver and Elizabeth Martin & Lauren Hynek.
Mulan opens in theaters in 2020.
