The film centers on the Battle of Midway, which was a pivotal point in the Pacific Theater during World War II. It chronicles the clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1942, telling the story of the leaders and soldiers who fought with bravery to overcome the odds.
Midway is directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow), with a script by Wes Tooke. It stars Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid, Darren Criss, and Woody Harrelson.
