Louise de los Reyes Topbills “Island Dreams”

GMA Network’s Primetime Princess, Louise de los Reyes gets another boost in her career as she is chosen to play the female lead in the romantic-drama, “Island Dreams,” produced by Kenau Pictures.

Louise is paired with Alexis Petitprez, an international television/commercial actor and magazine model. “Island Dreams” was one of the entries in the New Wave category during the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival. It won the Most Gender Sensitive Award and was graded “B” by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

Before making waves on the primetime scene, Louise did supporting roles in past television programs such as “Lip Gloss, “ “Pilyang Kerubim, “Tween Hearts.” She got her biggest acting break via the fantasy series, “Alakdana," followed by primetime shows like “Mundo Mo’y Akin” and the recently-concluded “Kambal Sirena,” on Channel 7.

Alexis, on the other hand, was born in Paris, France. He has practically toured and lived all over the world. He used to own a tax business center in California and had real estate ventures with his parents in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He used to take up drama courses in LA as a hobby. He never thought that it will be his passport for a career in acting. His first film was shot in Singapore with a big cast led by Lim Kay Tong and Rebecca Lim.

"Island Dreams” is his first movie. In the  film, Louise is Julie, a barrio lass who works as a tourist guide to support her blind mother. She meets Zach (Alexis), a visitor from America in search of True Love's Peak, a secluded place in the island surrounded by a myth – that whoever sets foot there will find  true love. Aware of the myth, Julie refuses to believe it. She would rather follow her dreams and alleviate her and her mother's sad plight. She, too, is unaware that Zach is nursing the pain of losing a loved one. In fact, he's in the island to forget his past and enjoy life. As they embark on their journey, Julie and Zach find themselves gravitating towards the promise of true love. But will they be brave enough to realize that the myth, the place and their own pains actually make them vulnerable to something beyond their control? And whether or not it is true love, they will have to tread the path with their hearts.
