After Star Wars: The Mandalorian blessed us with Baby Yoda—whose cuteness is in tight competition with the likes of Baby Groot and CGI Pikachu— another iconic character gets an adorable transformation onscreen.
In the latest Sonic The Hedgehog film trailer in Japan, we got the first glimpse at Baby Sonic, who is basically the blue hedgehog that we all know, but younger and cuter! Check out the Japanese-dubbed trailer below:
Even though not all viewers can understand what is being said in the trailer, people on the internet were quick to agree that Baby Sonic is just plain charming. And considering how the design of the CGI Sonic was revamped after the first one had amassed heavy criticisms, it looks like fans are getting more than what they asked for.

Sonic The Hedgehog is based on the blockbuster video game franchise of the same name. The film centers around the fast blue hedgehog Sonic who travels to our world to save his. Along with his newfound best friend Tom, Sonic must fight the evil Doctor Robotnik who will stop at nothing to get his powers and use it for world domination.
Ben Schwartz voices Sonic and James Marsden plays the role of Tom while Jim Carrey dons the suit of the villain Dr. Robotnik. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler and it will open in local theaters on February 14, 2020.
