Heads up Tolkien fans! The cast of The Lord of The Rings films are reuniting on Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart series on Youtube!
Josh Gad teased the online reunion with a 3-minute clip that’s enough for any LOTR fan to get hyped! Just imagine when the full reunion happens on June 1 at 12AM, Philippine time. Check out the teaser below:
As seen in the teaser, weĀ can already expect to see Sam (Sean Astin), Frodo (Elijah Wood), Merry (Dominic Monaghan), Pippin (Billy Boyd), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellen).
In Monaghan’s recent Instagram post, we can also see a more complete lineup which adds Boromir (Sean Bean), Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Gollum (Andy Serkis), Eowyn (Miranda Otto), Eomer (Karl Urban), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies), and Arwen (Liv Tyler) to the call. Director Peter Jackson and writer Philippa Boyens are also there.
We last saw the fellowship together when The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King hit theaters back in 2003. A few of the characters reprised their roles in The Hobbit trilogy that ran from 2012 to 2014.
Josh Gad’s Reunited Apart has already brought together the casts of The Goonies, Back to The Future, and Splash. This is in support of the Center for Disaster Philanthropy. For more information, check out Josh Gad’s Youtube account.
