Ayala Malls’ Glorietta, situated at the heart of the metro and pulsating with vibrancy from residential, business and commercial activities in the CBD area, has relaunched its cinemas – reimagined with a fresh and even more elegant, modern vibe, as well as upgraded technologies. 

The refreshed Glorietta cinema / entertainment lobby is newly outfitted with relaxed seating areas that invite guests to linger and unwind while waiting for their movie to start. Fresh food offerings are also available at The Movie Snackbar. The updated lobby design also enhances visibility across all areas and serves as a key connector to the expanded corridor leading to Korea/Japan Town. 

The highlight of the refreshed lobby is a massive 300-square-meter, 13K-resolution LED screen – one of the country’s largest wall-to-ceiling displays – now enhanced with 3D capability for the ultimate cinematic experience. The larger-than-life canvas gives a vibrant sense of arrival in the reimagined Glorietta Cinemas and is perfect for game-changing visuals, immersive storytelling and showcasing movie trailers. The screen’s contrast to the dark ceiling is theatrical as it adds motion and theming to the reimagined space, and welcomes and cocoons patrons the moment they walk in, creating an immersive pathway into an all-new theatrical experience ahead. 

Once inside the reimagined cinemas, guests are welcomed by thoughtfully designed interiors, ambient feature lighting, plush seats with bigger legroom, and cutting-edge laser projection that delivers sharper, more vivid images. The immersive Dolby Atmos sound system elevates the viewing experience, while improved wayfinding ensures a seamless and intuitive journey throughout the entertainment zone, from arrival to exit.

The newly launched A-Luxe cinema offers a more exclusive and intimate setting, with only 60 motorized recliner seats, each equipped with a personal tablet, USB charging port, and generous 710mm width, generous legroom and wider spacing between seats for added comfort, redefining premium moviegoing.

While the Glorietta cinemas are still a work in progress, guests got a sneak peek of the reimagined Glorietta Cinemas experience on August 20, when the new A-Luxe cinema, as well as the reimagined cinemas, were launched. Guests were treated to cocktails from Joel’s Place and a performance by DJ Jimmy Nocon, and the massive and immersive LED screen was powered up for the first time. Guests also got to experience luxury movie-watching at the newly opened A-Luxe cinema, with a block screening of the highly anticipated anime movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle.”
