Celebrate your love for Filipino classic films this love month as ABS-CBN’s Film Restoration Project, in partnership with Powerplant Cinemas, once again features an array of digitally restored and re-mastered films in “REELive the Classics”.

Celebrate your love for Filipino classic films this love month as ABS-CBN’s Film Restoration Project, in partnership with Powerplant Cinemas, once again features an array of digitally restored and re-mastered films in “REELive the Classics” happening this Wednesday (Feb 10) to Tuesday (Feb 16) at the Power Plant Mall in Makati.

For the first time, the ABS-CBN Film Archives and Central Digital Lab-led film restoration initiative screen the 1977 Mike De Leon classic “Kung Mangarap Ka at Magising” topbilled by Chirstopher De Leon and Hilda Koronel.

It tells the story of student Joey (Christopher De Leon) who gets attracted to Ana (Hilda Koronel), a married woman who has a young son. Despite this, however, they become close and later Joey discovers that Anna is not happy with her domineering and too proper husband. Eventually the couple becomes intimate and then more than friends, but though they are happy, Anna is afraid that soon reality will catch up with them.

“Kung Mangarap Ka at Magising” will have a red carpet celebrity premiere this Wednesday (Feb 10), 7PM.

Aside from the said movie, “REELive the Classics” also debuts on screen newly restored titles such as Olivia Lamasan’s “Minsan Minahal Kita” starring Sharon Cuneta and Richard Gomez; Mike De Leon’s “Kakaba Kaba Ka Ba?” starring Charo Santos, Christopher De Leon, and Sandy Andolong; and Rory Quintos’ “Basta’s Kasama Kita” starring Aga Muhlach and Dayanara Torres, and “Love Me Again” starring Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin.

“REELive the Classics” is part of ABS-CBN Film Restoration campaign dubbed as “Sagip Pelikula,” which aims to locally restore classic films and make it available to the general public via different platforms.

To date, ABS-CBN Film Archives has already restored over 100 films since it started in 2011, some of which were already screened internationally via film fests, screened locally via red carpet premieres, aired on free-to-air and cable television, viewed via pay-per-view and video-on-demand, distributed on DVD, and downloadable even on iTunes.
