Described as Hitchcockian by some critics, the mystery crime thriller “Lost in the Stars” centers on He Fei (Zhu Yilong), a diver instructor whose time is running out trying to solve his wife’s  disappearance during their first wedding anniversary in a foreign land.  Muzi (Huang) goes missing days after they arrive at the island, but the local police refuses to help due to lack of evidence.  But before his visa expires, Fei wakes up one day with a woman beside him claiming to be his wife (Janice Man). Upon reporting to the local police about the impostor, Fei’s claims is once again dismissed due to strong evidence pointing that the woman is his legitimate wife.  Determined to find his wife before his visa expires, Fei gives up on the authorities and approaches a renowned lawyer named Chen Mai (Ni Ni).  They soon uncover a series of suspected abductions within the island but as things begin to unravel, they find themselves in danger of trying to find out the truth.

The film has so far scored 92% audience rating at Rotten Tomatoes, collectively citing that the film delivers a superb roller-coaster murder mystery that will keep the audience guessing and gasping until the end. From the local (Ph) audience, among those who have earlier seen the film say that, “Lost in the Stars didn’t waste any second to trap your attention right at the very beginning.
