The Age Of Shadows

A South Korean action thriller film directed by Kim Jee-woon, it follows the cat-and-mouse game that unfolds between a group of resistance fighters trying to ship explosives from Shanghai to destroy some Japanese facilities in Seoul. A talented Korean-born Japanese police officer is thrown into a dilemma between the demands of his reality and the instinct to support a greater cause. The film stars Song Kang-ho and Gong Yoo.


 

Allied

A World War II romantic thriller film directed by Robert Zemeckis, it tells the story of an intelligence officer Max Vatan who in encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour in North Africa on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. When they reunite in London, their relationship is extremely tested by the pressures of the war. The film stars Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard, Jared Harris, Lizzy Caplan, and Matthew Goode.
