Disney is splashing magic to the big screen once more with their upcoming film Encanto: A Magical World!
From the creators of Moana and Zootopia comes this animated film that features a Colombian family with fascinating superhuman abilities and a casa that is full of life and magic! The movie centers on the Madrigal family, whose members are gifted with unique powers when they become the right age. Unlike her family, the young Mirabel didn’t receive her gift, but when the magic that surrounds their home is put in danger, she just might be their only hope to save it.
Before the movie hits Philippine theaters this December 8, we’ve had the chance to ask some questions to Mikee Sevilla, who served as a character animator for the upcoming movie and has also worked on Disney’s Raya and The Last Dragon. In this interview, Sevilla talked about their favorite scene to work on, their perspective on Disney’s diversity and representation, and more!
