Check out all the highly-anticipated films coming out next year for all of you, Disney fans, out there: 

1. Black Panther
Directed by: Ryan Coogler
Premiering on: February 16

Black Panther follows  T'Challa who returns home to an isolated and technologically-advanced African nation to succeed his father's throne. The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Michael Jordan, Angela Bassett, and more. 

 

2. A Wrinkle in Time
Directed by: Ava DuVernay
Premiering on: March 9

Featuring a star-studded lineup which includes Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kalling, A Wrinkle in Time follows Meg Murry who must work with three astral travelers to save her father from a distant planet full of evil. 

 

3. Avengers: Infinity War
Directed by: Anthony Russo and Joe Russo
Premiering on: May 4

Set four years after what happened in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the Avengers join forces with the Guardians of Galaxy to stop Thanos from collecting the Infinity Stones that would enable him to bend reality. Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and more. 

 

4. Solo: A Star Wars Story
Directed by: Ron Howard
Premiering on: May 25

Solo: A Star Wars Story, or simply Solo, will center on young smuggler Han Solo and his adventures with Wookie Chewbacca before the time he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The film will be starring Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Donald Glover.

 

5. The Incredibles 2
Directed by: Brad Bird
Premiering on: June 15

While Elastigirl Helen Parr is out to save the world, Mr. Incredible Bob Parr is at home, watching over their children Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack who is still discovering his secret powers. For the sequel to the first film, the Incredibles would have to team up with Frozone in battling a new villain – The Underminer. 

 

6. Ant-Man and the Wasp
Directed by: Peyton Reed
Premiering on: July 6

Following the events of Captain America: Civil WarAnt-Man and the Wasp will follow Scott Lang who is juggling his life as a fater and as Ant-Man. He will have to team up with Hope Van Dyne as the new Wasp in order to fulfill with the new mission they have. 

 

7. Christopher Robin
Directed by: Marc Forster
Premiering on: August 3

When Christopher Robin meets his childhood friend, Winnie the Pooh, he rediscovers the joys of life. The film stars Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Mark Gattiss, and Bronte Carmichael. 

 

8. The Nutcacker and the Four Realms
Directed by: Joe Johnston, Lasse Hallstrom
Premiering on: November 7

Clara is led to a mysterious parallel world where she encounters a soldier named Phillip, a gang of mice, and the regents who preside over three Realms. She must then brave the Fourth Realm, led by Mother Ginger, for her to return harmony to the unstable world. 

 

9. Wreck-It Ralph 2
Directed by: Rich Moore, Phil Johnston, Nathan Greno, and Meg LeFauve
Premiering on: November 21

 

10. Mary Poppins Returns
Premiering on: December 25

The sequel to the 1964 classic, Mary Poppins Returns centers on the titular character who returns to the Banks family with street lamplighter Jack and her cousin Topsy,  after Michael suffers a personal loss. The film stars Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Whishaw, and Emily Mortimer.
