Araneta City’s Gateway Cineplex and Ali Mall cinemas are joining the lineup of movie theaters in Metro Manila that are set to reopen on November 10. This is after the IATF released new guidelines for places under Alert Level 3– including Metro Manila– allowing cinemas to finally resume their operations.
On their website, Gateway Cineplex has posted the guidelines for excited moviegoers hoping to see films on its big screens once more. The cinemas will operate with only 25% capacity to meet the IATF guidelines and ensure physical distancing. Moviegoers must wear their face shields and face masks at all times, and always maintain a 1-meter distance from each other. Those with temperatures above 37.6 degrees celsius are not allowed inside the movie theaters. Eating inside the cinema is also prohibited for everyone’s safety.
Gateway Cineplex is also making efforts to make sure that moviegoers will have a safe and worry-free cinema experience. In addition to regular disinfection, UV light room sterilizers are used to disinfect the cinemas before and after each screening. The air-conditioning systems in the cinemas are also UV-treated and equipped with UV lights to eliminate airborne pathogens.
