In Irish horror film 'The Cured,' a cure that has a 75% success rate has been found for a virus that transforms people into zombies. The former monsters are restored back to full health, but these ex-zombies remember everything they did when they were still infected.
Set in Dublin, Ireland, the film stars Hollywood actress and indie film favorite Ellen Page (Juno, Inception, X-Men: The Last Stand) who plays Abbie, the sister-in-law of Senan (Sam Keeley), a rehabilitated zombie who is haunted by his cannibalistic past that includes killing his own brother. Can the cured, burdened by the memories of their infected selves, come back to a normal life? Will the uninfected learn to trust the cured and welcome them back?
