Guillermo del Toro’s latest thriller film, Nightmare Alley, has just revealed its first trailer, giving us a glimpse of the nightmares Bradley Cooper’s carny will be facing in this movie.

Bradley Cooper stars as a member of a carnival who has a talent for manipulating people with just his words. He develops a relationship with a female psychiatrist, played by Cate Blanchett, who is actually even more dangerous than he is. The trailer also teased some of the interesting characters coming to the film, such as Willem Dafoe’s ringmaster, Toni Collette’s psychic, Rooney Mara’s character who appears to be a magician assistant being experimented on, and a man-beast Dafoe has been describing throughout the trailer.
Also part of the cast are Richard Jenkins, Mara, Ron Perlman, and David Strathairn. The film is set for release in US theaters on December 17, 2021. For more information, visit the film’s official website.
