Kingdom‘s Ju Ji Hoon and Nevertheless‘ Han So Hee are confirmed to star in the upcoming film Gentleman, a few weeks after it’s been reported that the two stars have been offered the roles for it. The film is an original production by the Korean streaming platform Wavve.
According to a report by the Korean Joong Ang Daily, Ju Ji Hoon will be playing a private detective Ji Hyun Soo, who gets framed for murder and is caught up in a major case while trying to be vindicated. To prove his innocence, he teams up with Han So Hee’s Kim Hwa Jin, a prosecutor, to solve the murder case.
Ju Ji Hoon recently starred in the Netflix K-drama Kingdom and will be starring in the drama Cliffhanger with Jun Ji Hyun. He’s also known for his roles in Along with the Gods, Hyena, and Princess Hours.
Han So Hee, on the other hand, rose to fame for her roles as Yeo Da Kyung in The World of the Married and as Yoo Na Bi in the ongoing drama Nevertheless. You may have also seen her in 100 Days My Prince, Abyss, and Money Flower.
Gentleman, which comes from director Kim Kyung Won (The Artist: Reborn), starts filming next month. It’s slated for theatrical release in South Korea in May 2022.
