After its many delaying setbacks, it looks like we're finally getting to see Marvel's The New Mutants in theaters this year.
The film which puts a horror spin on Marvel's X-Men universe, has finally dropped its second trailer two years after the first one was released. Check out the latest trailer below:
The film from 20th Century Fox was originally set for an April 2018 release. Because of the unrealized plans of reshoot, and the Fox and Disney merger, the film was pushed back multiple times and after having spent two years in the shelves, audiences who were looking forward to see the film almost feared that it would never reach the big screen. That is, until this new trailer dropped with the latest release date.
The New Mutants tells the story of the young mutants who are confined in a hospital for psychiatric monitoring. As strange occurences begin to unfold, the uncanny bunch must work together and use their special abilities to get out of the horrific hospital alive.
Directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars), the film stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy (Split), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt, and Alice Braga. The New Mutants opens in local theaters this August 13.
