Madness comes in many faces, and Joaquin Phoenix's take on the infamous Batman villain, the Joker, is something fresh and quite convincing in the upcoming film by Todd Phillips.
The final trailer for the Joker is out now, and compared to the first trailers that have been released, this one showcases Phoenix's performance of madness in its full glory.

The upcoming psychological thriller film is a gritty character study of the comedian Arthur Fleck and what pushed him over the edge of his sanity, rising with the new persona he named the Joker. It depicts the crumbling society of Gotham and the cruel deeds happening in its corners that aren't that far from reality. When Fleck finally reaches his limit, he makes that one misstep that will hurl him to a crazed life of crime.
The film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro, Frances Conroy, and more. It is directed by Todd Phillips who co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver. It is set for release this October 3.
