No year will be complete without a token shark movie to yank us out of our seats. This year, that film is 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, a sequel to director Johannes Roberts’ surprise shark-attack hit in 2017 starring Mandy Moore.

This time, we follow four teenage girls who sneak into an underwater cave to explore a recently discovered ancient Mayan city submerged underwater. Their adventure turns into a panic-inducing situation when they learn that they are not alone in the waters.
Surrounding them in the abyss are massive, menacing great white sharks. Trapped in a cave that could soon be their grave, the girls must outwit and outswim the shark menace if they wish to make it out alive.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged will be released in the Philippines on August 15, 2019.
