The film follows the life story of American actress, singer, dancer, and vaudevillian Judy Garland, 30 years after she starred in the movie that took Hollywood by storm, The Wizard of Oz.
As revealed in the trailer, Garland's life was no yellow brick road. After having financial struggles, she had to leave her children and perform sold-out shows in London. There, she gets in another phase of romance while reminiscing on the path she had taken.
Renée Zellweger stars as Judy Garland alongside Jessie Buckley and Rufus Sewell. It is directed by Rupert Goold and written by Tom Edge and Peter Quilter. It is set for release this September.
