To those who have watched the recent Pet Sematary 2019 remake, you already know the tragic end for the Creed family. But it turns out, there is an alternate ending that was also shot to conclude the family's affair with the mystic burial ground.
In the final cut, Louis Creed follows his resurrected daughter Ellie into the Pet Sematary as the girl plans to bury her dying mother Rachel. Louis gets entangled into a struggle with his daughter and when he gets the chance to end her, the girl pretended to be his innocent child. Suddenly, a resurrected Rachel appears from behind Louis and stabs him.
In the alternate ending, instead of the sudden resurrection of Rachel, it cuts to this scene that surfaced on EW:
After this, a disturbing conclusion closes for the film. This is but one of the several deleted scenes amid the 90 minutes of extras on the home video release that will be available on June 25 for Digital and July 9 for Blu-Ray and DVD.
Pet Sematary is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. It is directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and stars Jason Clarke, John Lithgow, Amy Seimetz and more.
