Movie Guide: 24th French Film Festival Lineup, Schedules, and Prices

The 2019 edition presents a line-up of 15 contemporary French films , to be publicly screened in Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Bacolod this June and July. Here's your guide to the 24th French Film Festival in Manila!

The 2019 edition of The French Film Festival presents a line-up of 15 contemporary French films , to be publicly screened in Manila, Cebu, Davao, and Bacolod this June and July. Tickets to watch the featured films are at P150 each. In Metro Manila, the film screenings will be held in BGC (Bonifacio High Street Cinemas in Central Square) and in Makati (Greenbelt 3 Cinemas). The film lineup rounds up movies that explore the depths of human relationships and the importance of family.

  • June 12 to 18, 2019 – Metro Manila
  • June 20 to 22, 2019 – Cebu City (Ayala Center Cebu)
  • June 28 to 30, 2019 – Davao City (Abreeza Mall Davao)
  • July 10 to 12, 2019 – Bacolod City (Ayala Capitol Central Mall)

The 24th French Film Festival will also continue its annual tradition of paying tribute to Filipino cinema on June 12, Independence Day:

  • Pepe Diokno’s “Above the Clouds,which  was co-produced with funding from the Aide aux Cinémas du Monde program of Institut Français

  • Carlo Catu’s “Waiting for Sunset, which received the Audience Award at the 2019 Vesoul Festival of Asian Cinema

  • Carlo Manatad’s “Jodilerks Dela Cruz, Employee of the Month,” which was featured in last year’s Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival

  • Kidlat Tahimik’s “Mababangong Bangungot” (“Perfumed Nightmare”) which was partly filmed in Paris, in honor of the National Artist for Film and Mass Communications
