The Warner Bros. Pictures' Joker film already looks promising in its first trailer, with all the dark and gritty images of the society crashing all over the iconic DC comics character, portrayed by award-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix.
To get your own dose of dread from what will be the making of one of pop culture's most twisted icons, here's the first full trailer for the film:
Joker is an original standalone story that will revolve around the Batman arch-nemesis. Directed and co-written by Todd Philips, the film is set to become a deep dive to the character of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man who stands on the brink of his sanity while being continuously corroded by the society.
Joaquin will be joined by stars Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, and BRON Creative, a Joint Effort Production, “Joker” is set for release October 4, 2019.
