This time, instead of playing the characters of a super heroine with godly powers and a prelude to the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Larson will play the role of the frustrated artist Kit and Jackson a mysterious unicorn salesman.
To get a better grasp of this upcoming comedy film of magical realism, watch the trailer here:
"After failing out of art school and taking a humdrum office job, a whimsical painter gets a chance to fulfill her lifelong dream of adopting a unicorn," according to Netflix's official synopsis to the film. The vibrant colors and interesting portrayals of characters from the trailer are already teasing a fun film which will cross the fine line between reality and fantasy.
To get things clear, Unicorn Store is not really a reunion film for the Captain Marvel stars but instead goes the other way around. The former is an independent film that was already shown in 2017 at the Toronto International Film Festival, but it wasn't picked up until this year.
Directed by Brie Larson herself from a screenplay by Samantha McIntyre, Unicorn Store also stars Samuel L. Jackson alongside Mamoudou Athie, Karan Soni, Joan Cusack, Bradley Whitford, Martha MacIsaac, Hamish Linklater, and Annaleigh Ashford. It premieres on Netflix this April 5.
