Captain Marvel
Written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, it is based on the Marvel Comics character Carol Danvers. Set in 1995, the story follows Danvers as she becomes Captain Marvel after the Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds. The film stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn.
The Haunting Hour
Directed by Gilbert Chan, it follows Tommy who is a socially awkward individual who is a victim of bullying from his army mates. His source of comfort comes from compliments left by readers in his blog. One of his followers is a very attractive female who captures his attention. Mesmerized by her looks, Tommy imagines a relationship with her and edits pictures together. One day, he receives a text from her and things start to go horribly wrong. It stars Mark Lee, Wang Lei, Noah Yap, Richie Koh, Natalia Ng, Melody Low and Fabian Loo.
